Cabinet Assembler
The job of cabinet assembler position was established for the purpose of assembling and installing hardware to complete the final kitchen and bath cabinetry.
Cabinet Assembler Responsibilities:
Plan and organize steps of cabinet assembly
Assemble parts together to complete cabinets
Keep work station clean and organized
Pick orders, fulfill orders, stock shelves of needed materials and supplies
Other basic warehouse duties: such as sweeping, organizing, etc.
Cabinet Assembler Requirements:
Ability to read a tape measure
Basic knowledge of how to use a hammer, drill, pneumatic nail guns
Detail oriented
Care about building a quality product and pride in their work
Cabinet Assembler Qualifications / Education:
Experience in woodworking, cabinetry, or construction
Basic construction knowledge
Basic reading, writing, and math skills
GED or high school diploma preferred but not required
Cabinet Door Builder
Must know how all ports of a door come together along with each door's front style, profile, and wood species to ensure the order is correct and built-in sequence. This position requires a high level of detail and quality.
Cabinet Door Builder Responsibilities:
Inspect all parts prior to assembly looking for defects which may include incorrect sizing, spit ends, knots or rough milling
Build doors using the parts staged and sorted on carts according to order sequence maintaining production goals and quality.
Build doors in order, glue, assemble, pin the parts, and final inspection.
Sort completed doors on carts according to order sequence for the next step in the process.
General cleanliness and housekeeping of personal work are and others within the department.
All other duties assigned by supervisor.
Cabinet Door Builder Requirements:
Constantly required to use hands and fingers to handle objects, tools or controls.
Constantly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds or more.
Frequently push and pull carts with door parts or completed doors.
Must practice and follow safe practices while working with and around saws, drills, and other pneumatic tools.
Cabinet Door Builder Qualifications / Education:
High school diploma or equivalent
Experience building cabinetry and woodworking in a manufacturing environment preferred.
Basic math skills
Ability to read a measuring tape.
Must be able to use vision and tour senses to inspect for defects.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment without losing attention to detail.
Ability to follow instructions to ensure high quality.
Ability to work as a team and communicate effectively with others.
Cabinetry Frame Builder
The job of frame builder position was established for the purpose of assembling pre-cut material for the frame of kitchen and bath cabinetry.
Cabinetry Frame Builder Responsibilities:
Assembles wood frames for kitchen and bath cabinetry, using hand tools, positions precut wooden parts as the job list states.
Nails, screws, and glues precut framing material using hand tools such as battery-powered drills and glue applicators.
May cut wood parts according to specifications.
Assembles by type or size of cabinet frame being built; such as wall cabinets, base cabinets, and/or utility cabinets.
Responsible for maintaining a clean and orderly work area.
Follows safe work practices.
Cabinetry Frame Builder Requirements:
Ability to read a measuring tape.
Basic knowledge of how to use a hammer drill, and pneumatic nail guns.
Detail oriented.
Care about building a quality product and pride in their work.
Ability to look at a drawing and select precut wooden frame parts and assembled to specifications.
Maintain and wear proper PPE such as eye and hearing protection.
Any other assignments given by the supervisor
Cabinetry Frame Builder Qualifications / Education:
Experience in woodworking, cabinetry or construction is a plus.
Basic construction knowledge.
Basic reading, writing and math skills.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Finish Sprayer
(Paint Base, Stain Base, Clear Coats)
Finish Sprayer Responsibilities:
Able to evenly or proportionately apply paint, stain or clears to a cabinet part, such as a door, panel, molding, drawer front or frame using a pneumatic spray gun.
Meet quality standards with assistance from management and uphold the integrity of a finished painted or stained product.
Follow all safety instructions and report any safety issues.
Follow filter change out/cleaning procedure
Finish Sprayer Requirements:
Able to work with others in a fast-paced environment.
Due to the nature of the job task, employee must stand on their feet for length of shift (with exception of breaks and lunch period).
Perform work with minimal supervision.
Basic knowledge of paints, stains, and glaze color, (or willing to learn colors).
Maintain a clean spray booth.
Change or clean filters in the booth as set by filter change-out procedure.
Must be in booth 15 minutes prior to the start of shift (to check filters, set up booth prior to start).
Must maintain and clean spray guns as needed during and prior to leaving at the end of shift.
Follow company procedures and state and federal laws as pertains to using, handling, storing, or disposing of paint-related materials.
Follow and use all required Person Protective Equipment.
Willing to learn the proper mixing of paint ingredients to achieve the desired color.
Finish Sprayer Qualifications / Education:
Strong work ethic.
Excellent judgement.
Able to communicate and interact in a team environment.
Previous spraying experience desired, the right candidate can be trained if willing to learn.
Must be able to see colors in a spectrum (cannot be color blind)
Willing to assist in other aspects of the finishing department as needed or assigned.
Finishing Hand Sander/Tacker
The job of a had sander/tacker was established for the purpose of achieving a quality finish on wooden kitchen and bath cabinets.
Finishing Hand Sander / Tacker Responsibilities:
Sand material with sandpaper, sanding block pad between paint coatings or stain coatings for a smooth surface.
Wipe off or blow off dust with a sticky tack rag or air nozzle.
Inspect for high quality, clear consistent finish result.
Fill defects with wood putty, then sand flush by hand as required.
Performs work in a productive, diligent, careful, and safe manner.
Complete any special projects or other tasks as required or assigned
Keeps work area clean
Finishing Hand Sander / Tacker Requirements:
Regular periods during which physical effort is required, walking, standing, stooping or occasional lifting of cabinet parts such as doors, frames and drawer fronts, some of which may be heavy or awkward.
Able to work in conditions of temperature variations, fumes, and moving overhead conveyor line.
Attention to detail.
Finishing Hand Sander / Tacker Qualifications / Education:
Excellent judgement
Ability to understand spoken or written English.
Willingness to learn company process/role of the position
Line Loader Finishing Department
This position requires the employee to take raw, unfinished cabinet part, using a pneumatic stapler to place appropriate stable into predetermined positions and hang the cabinet part on the overhead conveyor.
Line Loader Finishing Department Responsibilities:
Handle unfinished material in a way not to cause defects in the cabinet parts prior to finishing.
Follows job assignments in order to load material by size and color.
Pulls correct pieces from current job list.
Uses pneumatic stapler to insert staple on cabinet parts.
Hand parts on overhead conveyor line.
Perform work in a productive, diligent, careful and safe manner.
Line Loader Finishing Department Requirements:
Basic knowledge of hand tools, such as pneumatic stapler
Detail oriented.
Ability to read written English.
Regular periods during which physical effort is required, walking, standing, stooping, bending and lifting of cabinet parts such as doors, frames, shelves and drawer fronts, some of which may be awkward or heavy, weighing over 25 pounds.
Line Loader Finishing Department Qualifications / Education:
Basic reading and writing skills
High School diploma or equivalent
Parts Puller
The employee is responsible for pulling cabinet parts such as but not limited to backs, sides, floors.
Parts Puller Responsibilities:
Match cabinet parts, backs, sides, floors by job order list. By size, colors, and wood species.
Correctly count parts and match to job order list.
Properly label completed pallets.
Follow all safety rules.
Parts Puller Requirements:
Inspect all parts and pieces to assure correct color, wood species and correct sizes.
Regular periods during which physical effort is required, walking, standing, stooping or lifting of awkward pieces (size of material vary from 12" to 60") some lifting of over 20 pounds.
Follow job list for accurate packaging.
Attention to detail.
Using an hand-held router that is mounted under a table top for notching corners of backs, sides and floors.
Cleaning of work area daily. Sweeping, and picking up and placing rubbish or waste material debris in appropriate receptacle.
Parts Puller Qualifications / Education:
Excellent judgement.
Ability to read and write English
Ability to read a measuring tape
High school diploma preferred, not required.
