Glaze Applications & Methods
Glazes add dimension to any of our Finishes while creating an accent with the contrasting stain or paint and available on ALL Wood Species/Door Styles. (Pen method only available on Cherry and Maple)
Handwiped
Your choice of glaze is applied to entire surface of the product. While hand-wiping flat areas will have minimal glazing hang-up, the wood textures, deep grooves and detailed areas of the item will give a unique glaze accumulation. Darker glazes will boldly create a brazen finish while the lighter glazes will subtly alter the finish.
Brushed
Your choice of glaze is lightly applied over the finish using a brush in linear strokes. This application is applied to visible areas of the cabinet and accessories. This process enhances the look of the finish by adding dimension with the look of brush strokes which are more visible on the flat surfaces of the product.
Pen
Your choice of glaze is applied in a more precise manner concentrating on the details in profiled and beveled areas of the item. This applications provides a well-defined line and adds depth and contrast to the overall appearance. Results are a more consistent while retaining the base stain or paint tones.

Techniques
Rub Thru
A technique used to randomly sand area of the item to expose an undercoat or natural wood tone on corners and edges.
Distressed
Our distressing approach creates a one of a kind finish with intriguing imperfections. Elements of distressing include rub thru, dents, dings, worm holes, knife marks, inconsistent splits, while emphasizing on natural blemishes in the wood.
Vintage
The newest technique adds character and depth to our finishes. This multi step process includes glazing, rub thru, distressing, and the crackling affect will add a form of a rustic antique appeal to the finished product. This intensive approach allows for the ultimate exclusive finished product.
